The engine cases are finally polished.  It took me longer than expected because I found an awful lot of gaps, seams, pores, and so forth.

Method:  Standard method with spiral buffs, canton flannel and loose section buffs, greaseless abrasive 180-grit - tripoli - white rouge - blizzard white.  All supplies from www.tarheelparts.com
For those not familiar with polishing:  this is a dirty, laborious, and time consuming job and you have to maintain the polish by monthly buffing (by hand).  Clearcoat paint does not stick well enough (I tried once).  Carnauba wax helps.
